Agua Fresca de Maíz

If you love horchata…this is the recipe for you. This is similar to atole, but cold and just in time for summer days. Super easy and you can add a shot of bourbon or rum for an adult version. Provecho!

Ingredients

1 cup of Yoli fresh masa (white or blue works best)

1 cup of condensed milk (use coconut condensed for vegan option)

2 cups of milk of your preference

2 cups of water

1 tbsp of vanilla

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

Garnish

Thick sugar and cinnamon (to rim the glass)

A stick of cinnamon

Optional shot of Bourbon or Rum

How to prepare

In a blender add all the ingredients and blend until is completely mixed in. If the consistency is too thick, feel free to add more water. Thus remember you will be pouring this over lots of ice. Rim your glass with sugar/cinnamon mix and lots of ice. Serve and enjoy!

*Tip I pour it in a pitcher with lots of ice and set it out with a bottle of Bourbon so people can make their own cocktails.

Provecho!
